We're listening..
As I mentioned in a previous blog, we've released Beta2 and I thought I'd write about some of the new features that I'm pleased we got in :)

As Dharma mentioned, we heard loud and clear that re-hosting the state machine designer should be made easier by storing the layout information into a seperate file and allowing you to persist it. Aditya & I spent some time figuring out the best way to do this, please let us know if we've come up with a solution you find acceptable.

Based on some usability feedback, we've simplified the ability to pass parameters into a workflow. There's no longer any special attribute required, just define a property with a get & set and you're good to go.

There were some hard cuts too... we removed the concept of 'grey box' activities. This was a particularly hard cut because I'm quite passionate about this scenario, however, features, time and quality all have to be balanced to ship software... this one had to be cut.

I'll post more as I think of the new features... right now I'm playing a lot with the WCF (Indigo) bits.. I'll be posting some code that shows you a few approaches how to get WF & WCF working together in the next couple of days.

Go Live on Beta2!
Wow, how does this blogging thing work again? :)

My apologies for being so out of touch recently... I promise I'll tell you why in a little bit. Lets just say Doug & I have been working together alot recently!

Anyway, I have to plug our Beta2 release which includes a Go-Live license. Meaning, you can go into production with this release! Download it and provide as much feedback as you can since we still have a little bit of time to fix anything we've missed.

Paul is doing a webcast on the new features in Beta2, I'd recommend checking it out.
